Data Residency Is Not Data Sovereignty

Keeping data in Canada does not necessarily mean keeping control in Canada. As AI becomes more embedded in business and government, sovereignty increasingly depends on who controls the data, infrastructure, decisions and legal jurisdiction surrounding them.
